The Senior Mechanical Engineer position at our reputable General Engineering Consultancy in Kuwait is a key role that involves overseeing critical mechanical and hydromechanical projects. This position requires a highly skilled engineer who can evaluate technical bids, review design documents, and ensure the successful execution of projects from inception to completion. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a vital role in collaborating with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that all mechanical systems are designed and implemented to meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

Evaluate technical bids for mechanical and hydromechanical equipment, including main pumps, valves, and auxiliary equipment.
Review and approve design documents submitted by bidders to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Attend project clarification meetings with the Employer and bidders to address any concerns and provide technical insights.
Participate in and supervise model testing of pumps to validate performance and design effectiveness.
Provide site supervision services during the erection and commissioning phases of mechanical systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with other engineering disciplines.
Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential challenges in project execution.
Prepare and present detailed technical reports and documentation for stakeholders and clients.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Implement best practices in mechanical engineering to optimize project outcomes and enhance efficiency.

Skills

Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in evaluating bids and overseeing hydromechanical projects.
Strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, contractors, and team members.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to assess technical documents and designs.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements while maintaining quality standards.
Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
Strong project management skills with experience in leading engineering teams through complex projects.
Commitment to professional growth and staying updated with industry advancements and technologies.
Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Strong ethical standards and a dedication to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Additional Requirements
